Description

I adore these creamy, buttery daffodils – these are small sized blooms, with multiple blooms on each stem. They are doubles and highly fragrant. 8-12 inches high. Poetaz Daffodils are fun in a mix of daffodils… Narcissus poetaz are hybrids between Poeticus narcissus and Tazetta narcissus, and have clusters of smaller flowers on each stem and a pleasant fragrance.

These are nice robust 14/16 sized bulbs.

OK, Daffodils are one of my all time favorite flowers – they are just absolutely fabulous. You put effort into planting them in the fall, best after the temperatures get quite low – the end of October to end of November is usually perfect (you don’t want the bulbs to start sprouting…). But after that small effort, you get amazing yellow flowers every year that naturalize and just glow every spring. I plant all types – so I get staggering of bloom times and I can make vases of various colors, styles, and scents! Every year, I buy more and pop them in and just reap the golden rewards year after year!

Daffodils are poisonous, so no animals eat them. They are hardy – zone 3-8. Very easy to grow.

Plant daffodil bulbs 6–8 inches deep in the fall. (General rule is to plant a bulb three times as deep as its height.) Plant after temperatures drop. Keep in fridge until then. Plant pointed end up. Space the bulbs 4–6 inches apart for optimal air circulation and healthy growth.
