Sage – Russian Plant (gallon pot)

Description

Russian sage is not an actual sage. Often it is referred to as simply Perovskia.

Perovskia has been a popular cottage garden plant for a long time, but its wispiness has made it seem weedy and unkempt. This Blue Jean Baby variety of Perovskia has all the wonderful qualities – the dramatic coloring and attraction to pollinators and general prettiness … and compacts them into a tight package making everything better!

Vigorous and very cold hardy. Lavender blue flowers held in smoky purple calyxes bloom for a long period starting in midsummer, with the color from the calyxes extending appeal into fall.

This variety is also one of the earliest Perovskia to bloom.

A perfect perennial for hot, dry climates, and perovskia can be used in a wide variety of environments with little attention through the season – a reason they have long been a staple of landscapers.

All of our plants and seedlings are grown organically and are timed size-wise and transplanted for optional growth and production.
