Part of our new 2026 bulb collection – Large, fluffy, multi-layered flowers in a dynamic peachy-mauve color.
I have two double flowering (peony styled) tulips this year, both are late blooming and look stunning together in a vase.
Blooms late spring – Long lasting blooms
Zone 3-8
16-20 inches tall
Tulips need some protection from deer and rodents. Prefer full sun – but remember that timing makes a big difference here – they grow and bloom early, before trees fully leaf out… and seem to enjoy a bit of shade in the height of hot summer days.
Plant tulip bulbs 6–8 inches deep in the fall. (General rule is to plant a bulb three times as deep as its height.) Can be planted up to 8 weeks before first hard frost. Pointed end up. Space the bulbs 4–6 inches apart for optimal air circulation and healthy growth.
