A field of glowing yellow goldenrod – the tones of yellow changing throughout the day – is one of the most beautiful and magical natural views….

Goldenrod is one of our favorite plants – it harbors diverse forms of life, supports native beneficial insects, provides honeybees with pollen and nectar in late summer, makes a delicious tea, is a main ingredient in some of our most effective herbal salves and ointments, and just to add some whimsey toits existence, makes a fabulous natural dye!

Join us for our Goldenrod Festival – Celebrating all things goldenrod on August 19th (Raindate August 20th)

We will be discussing growing goldenrod, using it medicinally, as well as using it as a natural plant dye. We will be harvesting out in the big goldenrod field, hands-on making of salves, and plunge into dying fabrics in different ways!

Cost includes all materials, salves, and lunch! You’ll be going home with great info, new inspiration, salves, dyed fabrics, and more!

IMPORTANT NOTES: All events, workshops, etc. must be registered and paid for in advance. We cannot accomodate people or children without previous notice. This is a working farm, and most workshops are geared toward adults; no dogs or animals are allowed.

REFUNDS: We cannot offer refunds if you cannot make the event. We reserve the right to cancel the event, in which case, we will offer a reschedule or refund your money.
