Aster – Common Blue Wood Aster (quart pot)

Description

This is a variety called “Avondale.” Aster cordifolius. A wonderful native – tamer than the tall New York and New England Asters, the Common Blue Wood Asters tend to stay under 3 feet high and get tons of flowers that feed beneficial insects at a time in the year when they need it most. Great filler flowers for bouquets and very attractive all by themselves as cutflowers. I use these in herbalism as well. A great plant!
