Stachys monnieri ‘Hummelo’ (gallon pot)

Description

Stachys and Betonys have a long history of medicinal use – this particular one is used more for ornamental uses and for building insectaries for pollinators and attracts hummingbirds as well.

Unlike other Stachys species, this one is not fuzzy. It has bright green, textured rosettes of foliage. Lovely spikes of rosy-violet flowers. Moisture tolerant. Deer resistant.

Fills in spaces in a perennial garden, crowding out weeds.
