Mallow – Vegetable or Chinese (3.25″ pot)

I have seen this called Curly Mallow or Chinese Mallow…  Other mallows referred to as Vegetable Mallows often don’t have the ruffled leaves that these particular plants have.

This is an absolutely wonderful green food. The leaves are dramatically ruffled – super attractive!

Grows like Marshmallow and gets ver small white flowers. I grow this plant for its raw leaves which are tasty with a tiny bit of muculent (less than okra), making for a moist-tasting salad green. Extremely nutritious and good for the digestive tract and urinary tracts.

Another benefit – Tortoises and turtles love the leaves !

Self-seeds pretty dependably.
