Gets 7′ tall – blooms in late summer through fall.

Miscanthus sinensis ‘Silver Feather’ or ‘Silberfeder’ is a German Ornamental Grass with dramatic, silver plumes carried on 7′ stems. Foliage is handsome and striped.

They positively glow in the late afternoon and evening sun. The plant material in fall and winter and early spring can provide materials for birds and fauna. I don’t cut the clump back until the new growth begins.

Miscanthus can be invasive, but this variety has mostly sterile seeds and won’t spread.
