Description
Blooming July to October, Helianthus giganteus puts on an alluring display, consisting of 10-20 yellow rays arranged in dancing, loose clusters. Very tall – 8 feet or so. Grows well in moist soil and full to partial sun. Be aware though that this is an aggressive spreader through rhizomes and may not be a good choice for certain locations.
Perennial; zones 3-9
