Neptune’s Harvest Kelp Meal 1-0-2 (non-plant product)

Description

If you have taken any of our workshops here at Midsummer Farm, you will know how obsessed I am with using kelp! I use it for dusting leaves to protect against bugs. I use it as a soil amendment as it brings in a plethora of nutrients – macro and micro – feeding worms and microorganisms. It plays a big role in creating soil diversity, really supporting life.

It can be made into a tea for plants or used as a top dressing. I sprinkle it over the soil surface under my garden plants, cultivate it gently into the soil and then water.

This is dried and ground Norwegian Kelp or Rock Weed (Ascophyllum Nodosum). Full of trace minerals, carbohydrates and amino acids, which help create strong root systems. It can be tilled into the soil before planting or can be top dressed.

This is a great way to add potentized organic matter into your soil and help it retain moisture. Kelp is a fabulous amendment.
