Spiderwort (Blue-Purple) – Tradescantia (6 inch pot)

Description

Spiderwort – Tradescantia with grape-colored / blue-purple blossoms.

Spiderworts are wonderful spreading perennials. I first fell in love with them in a cut flower bouquet and then had to start planting the plants. They are usually left alone by deer (although every once in while deer will browse them). They have iris-like foliage and flowers open in the morning. Flowers range in color from white to light pink and lavender to magenta to dark grape-purple.

They like part sun, but do well almost anywhere! Not picky and easy to grow.
