Fern – New York Fern (quart pot)

Description

New York Fern is a native fern that distinguishes itself from others by its soft, chartreuse coloring . Fronds are deciduous, 1-2 ft. high. Fronds are elegant, with a maximum width of 4 inches, with a lovely taper to both top and bottom. Foliage is twice-cut, giving a rather fine and translucent quality.

Creeping rootstocks send up fronds, sometimes forming a dense ground cover. Multiplication is very rapid into colonies.

It makes a good companion for spring ephemerals, covering the gaps they leave in the woodland garden.
