Description
Black Hawthorn is a small tree or large shrub with tons white blossoms (similar to apple flowers). Berries are long and turn black and are much appreciated by birds in fall and winter. Thorny branches, which also provide shelter for birds. A very bird-friendly tree.
Can be pruned and kept as a shrub, will get about 20 feet tall if left to grow as a tree. North American native, most common in the Pacific Northwest. Hardiness Zone 5-9
