Rosa rugosa or R. rubra.
This is a great hip-producing rose – hips are exceptionally large. Flowers are large and dark-pink. It is a very thorny rose – but could make a great hedge or deer-barrier. It is a hardy and robust medicinal rose – disease resistant.
Likes full sun; zone 2-9.
