Description
Also called honeyweed
Leonurus sibiricus L. has been used as a traditional and medicinal herb for many years in Asia and Europe.
Many of its uses are similar to Leonurus cardiaca… Medicinal purposes include treating menstrual irregularities, amenorrhea, and kidney complaints. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to address menstrual and other issues with female reproductive system. Additionally, it is known to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activity and has demonstrated a reduction of intracellular reactive oxygen species.
Annual or biennial This is my first year growing this plant, but I would suspect it may get agressive just as classic Motherwort will… grow it responsibly!
