Description

Angelica dahurica is a wonderful addition to any Angelica Collection!

Short-lived perennial herb, moist grasslands and streamsides. Native to China, Mongolia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Russia, and Siberia.

Angelica dahurica forms a giant 6′ tall purple stalk, with an abundance of unbels – white and just a beacon for beneficial insects.

The roots, called Du Huo or Bai Zhi, have been used medicinally since 400 B.C.

In moist, richly organic soils expect flowers in year two.
