$4 per bulb
So many people have asked me where to get the crazy firework like alliums I have growing in the perennial strip along with south side of my greenhouse… and I finally was able to source some to sell! I am so excited to offer these unusual and absolutely stunning and delightful bulbs.
Unfortunately photos just don’t see do them justice. These are a shimmering mauve in color, and unlike more normal tightly headed alliums, these are big open blooms – truly reminiscent of big fireworks. Blooms are almost a foot in diameter!
These are very large robust bulbs – top sized “12/+”
Full sun and well-drained soil – deer and rodent resistent. Easy to grow. 12-24 inches high. Zone 3-8.
Plant the bulbs 4–6 inches deep in the fall. (General rule is to plant a bulb three times as deep as its height.) Plant after temperatures drop. Keep in fridge until then. Plant pointed end up. Space the bulbs 6–12 inches apart for optimal air circulation and healthy growth.
