Description
Also known as Eastern Sweetshrub, Carolina All Spice, or Spicebush… A native species of flowering shrub identifiable by its dark rust-red flowers with fragrant scent… Flowers look like small dark red magnolias. Really enchanting.
Bush does well in part sun – not picky about soil type. Fills in as a stand – with multiple branches growing up from the soil surface creating a thatch environment. Gets about 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Leaves are attractive and light green in color. Deer usually leave it alone, although they do browse on it every couple years.
All of our plants and seedlings are grown organically and are timed size-wise and transplanted for optional growth and production.
