Description
As much as I love the drama of the giant flowered clematis, I also love the small flowered more wild looking ones… this is a very cool clematis. Vigorous, deciduous vine with lantern-shaped nodding golden flowers. Blooms is from mid-summer through fall and is followed by shiny, decorative, feathery seed heads.
Reaches 12–15 feet.
In general, clematis want to have their head in the sun and their feet in the shade…
Pruning Group: Group 2 (light prune in late winter/early spring)
Moist, well-drained soil is essential.
