I had a lot of fun dyeing with coreopsis flowers last summer, and so added three different types to my 2024 plant sale….

Easy to grow – prolific blooms. Keep picking and dyeing and more flowers keep coming to create new projects.

North American native, drought tolerant, deer resistant… Great cut flower – each stem adds a whole flush of small flowers to arrangements. Butterflies love the nectar of Coreopsis blooms.

Coreopsis lanceolata is a perennial – can be used is in many natural settings, native plantings field beautifications, and in dye and flower gardens.

Forms a nice clump and produces masses of 2 inch golden yellow, fringed blooms with a subtle reddish brown eye. Tolerant of heat, drought, & humidity.
