Description

Garden Gypsum improves the physical condition of soils while adding calcium and sulfur, which are key nutrients needed for the development of strong cell walls and healthy plant growth.

Commonly used to reduce soil compaction and increase drainage in heavy clay soils. Helps alleviate soil crusting – providing a more friable soil surface for better seedling emergence. I use this a lot in the fall, when I am doing final clean up, to spruce up and condition the soil in older perennial plantings. It enhances the soil structure, loosening heavy clay soils, improving aeration, improving drainage, and aiding in root penetration.

Gypsum is also used to help remediate and revitalize alkaline or saline soils.

Does Not Alter Soil pH.
