Native to North America east of the Rocky Mountains. It takes its common name from its dark, reddish-brown, glossy stipe along its very elegant long leaves… Ebony Spleenwort tends to be more upright and tall than its more sprawling cousin, Maidenhair Spleenwort.

Designed by nature to fit into all sorts of small spaces and alcoves amongst rock and crevices and the roots of forest trees.
