Cold Hardy robust garlic. Originating from the village of Shvelisi in the Republic of Georgia… this is a purple strip rocambole hard neck garlic.

Great roasting flavor – similar to Purple Glazer. Chesnok Red is a very pretty garlic – creamy bulbs with vivid violet striping on the bulb skins and bright red clove skins.

Each bulb typically holds 8–10 neatly arranged cloves – with yummy scapes in mid-June.

Raw cloves are lovely with a clear garlic flavor, but this is mainly grown for its roasting prowess…

Lasts up to 6 months after harvesting.
