Description
Showy Goldenrod has a plume-like shape to its flower heads and indeed is quite showy! Bright yellow attracts tons of pollinators. Leaves are bright green and stems are dark and reddish. Blooms a bit later than other species of Solidago- from September into November – providing extra nectar later in the season.
Not aggressive like some in the genus. Roots form a fibrous clump, spreading slowly.
Full sun well-drained soil.
Perennial – USDA zones 3-8
Height – gets to about 5 feet tall.
