Description
Very tall and very showy – towering above everything when in bloom in late summer.
Full sun and dryish soil is best.
Like most of the other native sunflower species, Maximilian’s Sunflower provides nectar for many long-tongued bees, short-tongued bees, butterflies, and moths.
Spreads quite vigorously – so be aware that these may not be suitable for all landscapes.
Perennial; USDA Zone 3-9
Height to 7 feet
