Description

Sometimes referred to as Dyer’s Knotweed, but is very tender and will not survive our winter. Grow as an annual.

I grow Japanese Indigo in a large pot and as long as I kept up with the watering, it kept regrowing as I cut. A fun dye plant… harvest leaves before flowering. Wild Colours has great info on using this plant for dying: http://www.wildcolours.co.uk/html/j_indigo_dye.html
