Spotted Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium maculatum) – Also known as Queen of the Meadow and Gravel Root. Native. A powerful attractor of pollinators – grows 4-7 feet tall with clusters of shimmering mauve-pink flowers. Blooms in late summer to early fall. Doesn’t mind wet soil. Loves sun. A main player in our Swallowtail efforts. Spotted Joe Pye Weed has pretty spotted stems. Used in herbalism as well.
