Kelp – Coast of Maine (non-plant product)

Description

If you have taken any of our workshops here at Midsummer Farm, you will know how obsessed I am with using kelp!
I use it for dusting leaves to protect against bugs. I use it as a soil amendment as it brings in a plethora of nutrients – macro and micro – feeding worms and microorganisms. It plays a big role in creating soil diversity, really supporting life.
It can be made into a tea for plants or used as a top dressing. I sprinkle it over the soil surface under my garden plants, cultivate it gently into the soil and then water.
This particular kelp is not human food grade, but it is super high quality from Coast of Maine, a great ethical company. One of the best kelp soil amendments I have used.
