Lavender “Super Blue” (3.25″ pot)

Description

A Dutch-developed variety of L. angustifolia. Deep violet-blue flowers on a nice compact mounding plant. Hardy and adaptable to both dry and wetter growing conditions.

NOTE: Lavender cannot have wet feet – it will rot. It should be planted in full sun and in well drained alkaline sandy soil. Raised beds or rock gardens are perfect. After the second year of growth, begin pruning once or twice a year, cutting back a third of its foliage. This will help maintain its shape, leaf and flower production as well as prevent woodiness. Blooms mid summer.
