I just love growing all sorts of giant Umbelliferae (Apiaceae) plants…

Biennial – with shokcingly cool embel flowers – where the end-clusters are distinctive balls…

First year – forms a lush mound of blue-green leaves similar to wormwood.
Second year – stalk forms with the crazy flowers. The dry seed pods are lovely too!

dissected leaves which are beautiful in their own right. The blooms make stunning cut flowers, and the dried seed heads are also beautiful in arrangements.

Zones 5-9

Prefers well draining soil.
