Herbaceous or sometimes evergreen perennial, zones 5 -8. Native to Europe and Himalayas. Full sun is best and soil should be well-drained.
Similarly styled plant to Roman chamomile; blossoms are daisy-like and bloom in spring or early summer. About 16 inches high.
Traditionally used as a nervine (nerve tonic)… Also for treating paralysis, as a sialagogue, for various dental woes, and as a testosterone substitute.
Roots can also be dried and can be used as a pungent spice.
