Potato – Desiree

I first heard of Desiree potatoes from Gordan Ramsey’s Ultimate Home Cooking Show – which is my favorite Gordan Ramsey series. I was so excited to try growing them and I have found them to be very dependable!

Desiree is an heirloom potato from the Netherlands. It is tender skinned – with a lovely red color and yellow and creamy inside. Excellent for salads, boiling, or mashing.

Good drought tolerance, moderate resistance to scab, and good storage. Long, oval tubers with beautiful rosy skin and creamy yellow flesh bulk early with good size. Very versatile. Upright plant with lots of red-violet flowers.
