The Caroline raspberry (Rubus idaeus ‘Caroline’) is a highly productive, everbearing (fall-bearing or primocane) red variety known for its large, flavorful berries, vigorous growth, and excellent disease resistance, particularly against root rot.
It is a popular, self-pollinating, soft-thorn, primocane-fruiting variety ideal for Zones 4–9. Produces a small summer crop and a heavy early fall crop). Large, firm,, red, very flavorful berries. Vigorous, fast-growing canes. Highly resistant to root rot and yellow rust. Hardiness: Zones 3-11. Produces fruit in June and then again in late summer/fall, usually best in August. Excellent for fresh eating, freezing, and jams due to its intense flavor. ‘Caroline’ is considered a new standard for home gardeners and commercial growers due to its high yield and adaptability.
