Sassafras Tree (Tree tube)

Description

Wonderful native tree with dramatically shaped aromatic leaves. Leaves can be single, double, or triple lobed. Fall color is varied and delightful.

This is what Gumbo File is made from. And Sassafras is used in other traditional herbal ways as well. I love the smell of the fresh green leaves when crushed.

Sassafras is a delicate tree to trasnplant – be careful to distrub the roots as little as possible when planting. It is best to plant while very young and small and provide some protection from weeds and deer.

All of our plants and seedlings are grown organically and are timed size-wise and transplanted for optional growth and production.
