Description
Narrow-Leaved Vervain is an elegant native vervain – not very showy – but the petite, pale lavender or white flowers are long lasting and support native tiny pollinators. It is also a hots plant for Buckeye Butterfly larvae!
It is considered critically endangered. Really needs full sun and dry soil. It likes gravelly, recently disturbed areas and thrives in sand (although it doesn’t like acidic soils). as long as it’s not too acidic. Narrow-Leaved Vervain is delicate and does not like to compete and will not endure being shaded out. I am growing mine with Lavender and Baikal Skullcap…
