Commonly found n the eastern United States – A major edge plant – along the edges of woods and field… found by roadsides and disturbed areas.

A;though it has a weedy look, it has a high ecological value for wildlife, providing copious nectar for various insects such as short and long-tongued bees, wasps, butterflies, and flies.. It is also a larval food plant for Crambodes talidiformis or the Verbena Moth. Songbirds enjoy the seeds.

In folk herbal medicine, White Vervain is called the “herb of grace” – and like most vervains, has a lot of supernatural folklore associated with it.
